ProWein, an international event that remains unmissable

Organized by Messe Düsseldorf, the ProWein fair was held in the German city from March 19 to 21, 2023.

This major event remains the leading European meeting place for wines and spirits, which welcomes a large number of visitors and exhibitors from all continents.

In full competition with the challenger show Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris, the ProWein organization was keen to make its 2023 edition a success. As a reminder, the Paris show welcomed 36,334 visitors for 3,387 exhibitors (+41% and +18% by compared to 2022).

For its part, the ProWein show welcomed 49,000 professional visitors, from 141 countries, for 6,000 exhibitors (+29% and +5% compared to 2022).

Despite this increase in attendance, the German event did not reach its target of 50,000 visitors or find the pre-Covid figures (6,900 exhibitors for 61,500 visitors in 2009).

On this aspect, French and neighboring exhibitors are asking themselves the question of the redundancy between the two events and the choice of the date remains the key criterion for competing between the two events.

Despite a mixed attendance at the French pavilion, our team nevertheless had the opportunity to present its activity, its partner estates and the latest vintages available.

This was an opportunity to find historical customers from Germany or Sweden, but it also allowed us to meet new partners in Canada, Denmark or Italy.

We would like to thank the ProWein organization for having maintained a high level of quality in the management of the event, Business France for having ensured the creation of the France Pavilion, but also our entire team for its investment and its organization to highlight our partner domains and their products.

A big thank you also to all our customers and prospects for coming to meet us!

The show season has now passed for this year. It is now time to set up new collaborations and maintain our commercial activities.
